SENIOR DESIGN ARCHITECT




Marichris Trejo is the Design Architect at the Hotel Design Group. In this role, she is responsible for the integration of the owner’s vision, interior design details and architectural design and development.  Her thorough architectural training and MBA allow her to approach design with the business acumen that will ensure the enterprise principals of the client are successfully married to the design.  She is passionate about creating a stage in which people will have memorable experiences and buildings that they will be forever drawn to.


Prior to joining the Hotel Design Group, Ms. Trejo was the Corporate Director of Architecture at The Kessler Collection, where she was instrumental in the design and project management of The Grand Bohemian Hotel and Residences in St. Petersburg, Florida, The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, The Kessler Canyon Homestead in De Beque, Colorado, and the Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront, in historic Savannah, Georgia.


Ms. Trejo brings a comprehensive training in classical architecture and traditional urbanism from the University of Notre Dame where she received both her Bachelor’s of Architecture and her Master’s of Architectural Design and Urbanism degrees.  She was further classically trained in Rome, Paris, Normandy and London.  While working for the prestigious Classical architecture firm of John Simpson & Partners, in London, she worked amongst the firm’s principal and director to design The Cahart Mansion in New York City (2007 winner of the Palladio Award for excellence in traditional architecture) and the Prince of Wales’ founded town of  Poundbury in Dorchester, England.
